Executive Director

Bobbi is a Benedictine Sister and serves as Mission Coordinator at Benet House Retreat Center in Rock Island, Illinois, which her community owns and operates. She has been involved in BC since 2017 and was trained by Joyce in 2018.  She has served as Executive Director since January 2023.  Bobbi values the Wisdom of the BC Core Team and Committees that enable BC to move forward in new and creative ways. 

“Boundless Compassion (BC) has taught me many practical ways to bring compassion into my daily life. It teaches me to consider compassion as part of my life and not just a compartment of ‘kind’ actions towards others.  Compassion must be integrated into all my life, thoughts, and actions.  The individuals involved in BC are committed to bringing the world together in Peace and Oneness. It has awakened me to look at Earth with a new vision of compassion and to think about how we might walk together to bring healing and more respect to all Creation.“

Jacque Bieber is retired after spending over forty years designing, developing and facilitating workshops. She is currently serving as the Vice President of her church’s St. Paul Synodical Women’s Organization (SWO), which seeks to empower women to promote healing and wholeness in the church, society and the world.  Jacque says that when she attended a Boundless Compassion workshop she came away seeing how living a boundlessly compassionate life dovetailed with the work she was doing with the SWO,  Both activities keep Jacque in touch with her own need for compassion and make it possible to share compassion with those around her. Jacque’s Ph.D. is in education.

Deacon Tammy Devine is passionate about walking with God’s people. Devine collaborates with thought leaders to facilitate personal and communal growth toward living and leading well through coaching and retreat leadership.  

 Devine is the Principal for Devine Coaching, credentialed as a Professional Coaching Certificate (PCC) Coach, Certified as an End of Life Coach. Devine is the facilitator of retreats to support growth in understanding who you are while remembering whose you are. She uses tools to support articulating strengths, values, and writing your spiritual autobiography. She is a facilitator of Boundless Compassion and Beloved Community Coordinator.

Mark currently serves as Hospitality Coordinator of Sophia Spirituality Center, a ministry of the Benedictine Sisters in Atchison, Kansas. In this role he welcomes guests, hosts retreats, offers spiritual direction, and leads programs focusing on compassion, Benedictine spirituality, and the labyrinth. A certified facilitator of the Boundless Compassion program, Mark is passionate about helping individuals and communities cultivate compassion as a way of life.  Prior to coming to Sophia Center, Mark spent twelve years living in L’Arche Heartland with adults with developmental disabilities, who have become some of his most important teachers in compassion.

Sr. Barb Smith has been an Adorer of the Blood of Christ (ASC) for over 50 years. Her religious life has been mentored by 24 years among the Navajo People in the Northwest Deanery of New Mexico. She has played a part in community leadership on the Regional and International levels, and Formation ministry in the U.S. and Rome. She has certification in Spiritual Direction and Retreat Ministry and feels graced through these encounters. Her love of nature, music and friendship help to nourish her heart and spirit.

Secretary

Kim has been a Boundless Compassion Facilitator (BCF) since 2019. Prior to that she studied Compassionate Mind Training and Compassion Focused Therapy with Dr. Paul Gilbert and Self-compassion with Drs. Chris Germer and Kristen Neff. Her primary spiritual teacher on the contemplative way is Dr. Jim Finley. Kim currently serves as a spiritual director and is President of Trees for Tigers which supports work for Amur tiger conservation, habitat restoration, and education. She is author of the blog “Contemplative Compassion” where she explores compassion as a way of life. Previously, she worked as a career counselor and as a human resources management consultant. With her husband Rob Voyle, they created the Clergy Leadership Institute and the Appreciative Way, offering consulting and training services. Kim’s Ph.D. is in educational psychology and focused on midlife career change.
