An awesome story teller, blending deep beliefs and insights with a poetic flair, Father Joe Nassal, C.PP.S, (Missionary of the Precious Blood) will be our key note speaker at the Kinship Gathering this year. Developing our theme, “Radical Compassion: Dwelling in Dissonance” which touches deeply the brokenness of our lives and world, Fr. Joe draws from his varied and wide life experiences to help us transform our lives and our world through radical compassion.
Fr. Joe has the gift of integrating life into a holy and sacred space that allows for a profound vision of how we can be and bring radical compassion to our ministry of presence in our dissonant world. In one of his many books, The Conspiracy of Compassion, he writes, “We find our true passion and live with passion (which is the meaning of compassion) when we know for whom or for what we are willing to suffer.” May we take this opportunity to be enriched with his transforming testimony of how we can choose to be the very tenderness and compassion of God in a world filled with brokenness and indifference.

Transportation: The Conference Center is 30 minutes (approximately 17 miles) from Milwaukee, WI. Airport. If you choose O’Hare Airport in Chicago it is 70 miles from Siena Retreat Center.
